May 17 to June 15, 2003 : from the Rond-Point des Champs-Elysees to Place de la Concorde, an exceptional exhibition was held, a promenade telling about the history of the French railways and train transport since 150 years.
Extraordinary collection trains from the Musee de Mulhouse were brought to Paris, as well as modern trains. They were displayed on the left side of the avenue coming up from la Concorde. On the right aisle of the Champs Elysees stood booths dedicated to the future of railways. Conferences, activities, model-making, guided tours, films... and, on Sunday June 1st, 2003, for one single day, a fabulous train joined Place de la Concorde to avenue Georges V.
